     Conrad House was named for Katherine Conrad Brevillier. It was built and opened in March of 1972 and overlooks Lake Erie. It is an eight story high rise apartment building for adults 62 years of age and older or for individuals with physical impairment.

   

    The building contains 105 alcove apartments and 28 one bedroom apartments. Occupancy is open to persons of all faiths. The rental and income guidelines are created by the federal government agency, HUD (Housing and Urban Development).

 

    Conrad House offers a supportive services program that can assist residents with housekeeping, laundry, personal care, errands, escorting, etc. These services are charged on a sliding scale based on the resident's income.

 

    Conrad House provides a home-like setting with a locked and secure entry system. Each resident has the capability to see visitors over a video system and view broadcast village messages. A self governed resident association and a buddy system is present. Resident organized activities and a weekly bus service to Giant Eagle, Kmart & Wal-Mart are offered.

 
  Apartments are HUD subsidized for those who qualify. Income limits are set as follows:
 
Singles- Income of $30,400/yr or less  ($456/mo maximum rent)
 Couples- Income of $34,750/yr or less  ($577/mo maximum rent)
