Apartment Living

Conrad House consists of 105 alcove apartments and 28 one bedroom apartments.  The rental and income guidelines are created by the federal government agency, Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).  Conrad House provides a home-like setting with a locked and secure entry system.  Each resident has the capability to see visitors over a video system and view broadcast Village messages.  A self governed resident association and buddy system is present.  Conrad House offers a supportive services program that can assist residents with housekeeping, laundry, personal care, and errands.  Resident organized activities and weekly bus service to Giant Eagle and Wal-Mart are offered.

Alcove Efficiency (for individuals) and One Bedroom Apartments (for couples) are available for rent.  Section 8 subsidy slots on a limited basis for those who qualify.  Income limits are as follows:

Single Individual $31,800/year or less Basic Rent $366 - $456 monthly
Couple $36,350/year or less Basic Rent $463 - $577 monthly

Income includes Social Security, pension, interest income, wages, rental income, etc.

Monthly rates for Conrad House Include:

  • Private Apartments
  • Kitchenette with Appliances
  • Private Bathroom
  • Heat and Electricity *(see below)
  • 24-Hour Emergency Assistance
  • Social Services
  • Basic Cable Television

  *An annual fee of $51.00 is charged to residents who have an air conditioning unit.

  • Reserved Parking Space - $5/month
  • Barber/Beautician Services
  • Optional Meal Program - 7 days a week
  • Village Transportation Services
  • Supportive Services Program **(see below)
  • Personal Maintenance (carpet cleaning, repair of personal belongings)
  • Carpet Removal
  • Dumpster Fee - $50 for removal of large personal items
  • Refundable Security Deposit

**Conrad House offers a Supportive Services Aide that can assist residents with housekeeping, laundry, personal care, errands, escorting to doctor's appointments, etc.  This service is offered for a sliding scale fee based on the resident's income.

Housing

Conrad House is a HUD subsidized apartment complex for persons 62 years of age and older or for individuals with physical disability.

  • We provide a home-like setting.
  • Resident Association - this includes the Buddy System and self government through floor representatives.
  • Locked and secure entry system.  Each resident has the capability to see the visitors over a video system on a dedicated television channel.  This system also provides a medium for the office staff to communicate messages to all residents who view the transmission in their apartment.
  • Resident-organized activities within Conrad House and throughout the Village.
  • 24-hour response to Help Call.
  • Village Store.
  • Meal program sponsored by the Brevillier Village Auxiliary (BVA).  Provides mid-day, balanced meal 7 days a week for a fee.
  • Coin-operated laundry facilities in-house.
  • Service Coordinator - refers residents to appropriate community services.
  • Supportive Services program available for a fee to assist with housekeeping, laundry, light personal care, and errands.
  • Resident security staff.
  • Exercise equipment.
  • On-site nursing and rehabilitation screenings.
  • Computer equipment and training.
  • Caption phone available.
